OUR SUCCESS STORY

We’re a family with a deep love for animals, and breeding European Doberman and German Rottweiler is our passion. Our family—my husband Nathan, our three daughters, and I—proudly raise these remarkable dogs, and they all get along wonderfully. It’s not an easy lifestyle, but we believe that anything worthwhile takes effort and dedication. The European Doberman is a perfect example of this; they require plenty of work but are truly rewarding companions. Their loyalty and natural protective instincts make them incredible friends, while their boundless energy keeps up with our kids seamlessly.

Choosing a European Doberman or German Rottweiler is a big decision and a commitment for the next 15 years, so we encourage you to schedule a visit to meet our exceptional dogs. We’re here to support you throughout your journey, and we love hearing how our puppies impact and sometimes even save lives. Even if you don’t bring one home, we’d love to introduce you to these talented and athletic dogs.

We look forward to connecting with you and showing off our wonderful European Doberman or German Rottweiler puppies, who are available for sale!

Our Kennel

Raised in Home

The European Doberman is a very smart and obedient dog. He has strong protective and territorial instincts. This breed needs extensive socialization from an early age, and firm, but not harsh, training. Doberman are instinctively protective so they should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. Unless you are specifically working in a protection sport, you do not need to give your Doberman any protection training, as it will come naturally to them. Doberman make excellent pets for the right homes, as they thrive on loving companionship. European Doberman instinctively display herding behavior such as chasing and circling, moving effortlessly for hours and nipping at people’s heels. The dog is good for working and competitive obedience, but not for toddlers who run and scream. A European Doberman will constantly be trying to keep the toddler in one spot!

The European Doberman & German Rottweiler can live in an apartment if it is sufficiently exercised. Moderately active indoors, he will do best with at least an average-sized yard. He prefers cool climates, but readily adapts well to others. A European Doberman & German Rottweiler should live to be 12 to 15 years.

Breeding and sales Process

At LUSTY DOBERMAN ROTTWEILER HOME we are dedicated to preserving the correct Doberman temperament, conformation and health.  We are active in showing in Conformation and performance (obedience, rally, agility, etc.) events with our Dobermans and are members of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America.

We do not have a kennel, our dogs are part of the family and graciously allow us to live in their home.  Our dogs are fully health tested and our breeding program prioritizes health and longevity.  Puppies born here are a labor of love and as such prospective homes are well screened in an attempt to insure a safe, responsible, loving, forever home for each and every puppy.

All of our dogs are health tested for genetic problems applicable to the breed. (i.e. – Cardio, Liver, Kidney, Thyroid, vWD, Hips, etc.)  We make every effort to insure we breed healthy dogs with excellent temperaments and longevity.   In addition to genetics— environment, vaccination history, and diet also contribute to a dogs overall health and longevity.  If you are considering a Doberman, you should educate yourself thoroughly on the breed’s temperament, personality and other issues.

Our dogs are fed a natural, species appropriate raw diet along with a holistic, highly nutritious kibble.  Puppies are weaned to this same diet.  Puppies are holistically and naturally raised with minimal vaccinations, no chemicals and no antibiotics.

We breed first for ourselves and generally keep and/or co-own a puppy or puppies from every litter.
Show and Performance homes are given priority.

– WE DO REQUIRE A PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD/AREA AT LEAST 5′ IN HEIGHT – Electronic/Invisible Fences are NOT acceptable.
– WE DO CHECK REFERENCES
– WE MAY DO A HOME CHECK, OR SOMEONE ACTING ON OUR BEHALF MAY DO A HOME CHECK

Our dogs are fed Life’s Abundance kibble with the addition of raw natural foods, such as raw meats, fruits, and veggies, as well as supplements.  Life’s Abundance is a holistic, balanced food that contains ingredients sourced in the U.S. and is manufactured in the U.S.  Life’s Abundance has been in business since 1999 with NOT a single recall!  In addition we add LA’S Wellness Supplement, Fish Oil and Agility Supplement (joint support) .

Our puppies are raised on the same diet.

It is our belief that our dogs are raised in a loving environment and that the result will naturally be a grown dog that will be a strong, mentally stable, and socialized animal. We start socialization early, we exercise regularly, and our loving attitude towards the dog encourages it to want to perform. The capability to perform is brought about through breeding. Physical strength produces the strength to perform and the loving attitude that surrounds the dog encourages the desire to perform. Our dogs are working dogs, and this is brought about through the loading of positive training. All of this comes down to one principle; They work because they want to and they are having fun.
